Counseling

Personalized Support for Emotional Well-Being

As a proud Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist of nearly 20 years, I pride myself on the diversity of populations served and life circumstances. My clients often come to me with life transition issues (teens, parenting challenges, relationship issues, major life events, trauma) and are experiencing a loss of identity, lack of direction and symptoms of pervasive anxiety . Together we explore with compassion for the journey to this point, identifying the life worth living and develop a cohesive treatment plan to meet those goals.

Through peeling back layers of an onion, we tackle areas of trauma, hurt, shame as we grow empathy for self and tools to start actively changing the cycle of pain. My proudest moment is when a client is able to step down in treatment as goals are met.

Through humor, coaching, and skills-based therapy I offer a proactive and direct relationship with my clients. I enjoy making my client the center of treatment and work to ensure that they are an expert of how they think, feel and react to align with their best self. I enjoy clients of all ages and stages, including couples and family therapy as well.

With almost 20 years of experience, I work with children, teens, adults, and families through tough life situations. I’m passionate about helping parents of children with disabilities navigate challenges like 504 and IEP needs while building parenting skills. I also support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, focusing on how these impact their relationships and overall well-being. Through a mix of CBT, DBT, and solutions-focused approaches, we set realistic goals and build the skills to change negative patterns.

Reaching out for an appointment and making it to the first session is the hardest part I promise! Everyone is deserving of living a life that brings them joy, contentment and control. Our mental health needs to be of equal importance to our physical health, and they are so connected! Being brave is the first step in changing our lives for the better. You deserve it.
